If you want to work with Abdul Tariq, you can find him on LinkedIn and X.
Abdul Tariq from Mumbai, India, shares his journey from being a real estate sales man to becoming a copywriter who did the impossible.
Despite being a newbie, he decided to do the Bencivenga 100 challenge, which involved hand-copying Gary Bencivenga’s 50-page, 32,000-word Retirement Event Sales Letter 10 times.
Most people quit immediately after realizing how hard it actually is, but not Tariq. The process took him about 260 hours, or 11 days of continuous writing, to complete all 10 copies.
He found out about this challenge through a tweet and commented that he will do it. Turns out he kept his word, unlike the other people who also commented that they’ll do it.
This trait alone makes him part of the top 1% people in the world.
Doing this challenge made him realize that simple words, authority and leveraging results are the keys to copywriting, not fancy words and “secret” sales tactics.
Copywriting is a lot simpler than most people think. It’s simple, not easy. The hard part is sticking to the basics of copywriting and nailing them.
Tariq also noticed that he’s a lot more efficient and can write a 200-300 word email in just 10-15 minutes.
This can only be done by constant repetition and dedication to learning a skill, there’s no secret to it.
Because of his great copywriting skills he can now not only charge higher, but he’ll also land clients and build authority a lot easier.
Tariq is planning to continue focusing on email copywriting for coaches and consultants and might write copy for Facebook ads.
Thanks to his dedication, he won a CopySkills™ scholarship to further accelerate as a copywriter.
