In this video, our guest Michelle Terpstra breaks down the process and the secret strategy to being successful with outreach by demonstrating multiple types of outreach, selling tactics and ways to handle objections.

Michelle mainly focuses on becoming familiar with the prospect as quickly and as efficiently as possible, that way cold outreach quickly becomes warm outreach.

She teaches this by explaining her thought process when it comes to interacting with prospects on platforms like LinkedIn.

Her decades of experience allow her to have a way with words that’s ideal for selling, especially considering that she started with door-to-door sales at a young age which trained her I-don’t-care muscle.

Michelle therefore knows what to do and what not do when it comes to selling to complete strangers.

Michelle also goes on to explain that you can inflect your voice in order to sell even better by using the correct intonation and showing the prospect that you’re a real person instead of a bot, which is important on social media.

This very quickly turns ‘cold’ outreach into ‘warm’ outreach, which is the main goal here.

But before you can do any of this you’ll have to modify your storefront to target the specific type of client that you want to help, according to Michelle.

This is because your storefront (profile) is the first thing a prospect will check out before even replying to you.
